Manchester United have announced a new contract extension with captain Bruno Fernandes until the summer of 2027. With the option to extend for a further year.
Bruno joined from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020 for £68m. With two years remaining on his previous contract, which he signed in 2022.

Bruno has been rumoured to be on the move this summer. But he himself said in May that he wanted to stay at the club.
“Everyone knows how passionate I am about Manchester United. I understand the responsibility and importance of wearing this shirt and the level of dedication and desire required to represent this incredible club,” Fernandes said after signing the new deal.
“I’ve had so many special moments here – hearing my name chanted at the Stretford End. Scoring a hat-trick against Leeds, leading the team out to Old Trafford on European nights and lifting the trophy at Wembley. But I wouldn’t have signed this contract if I didn’t believe my best moment in a United shirt was coming soon.”
